About This Spot
Stepping into Red Bowl Noodles on Mission Street, you’re welcomed by a casual, unpretentious space where the rhythm is comfortably steady — a spot that feels like a local neighborhood anchor rather than a hurried commercial joint. The air carries the inviting warmth of simmering broths and crisp-fried bites, setting a soothing tone whether you’re dropping in for a quick solo meal or settling in with friends and family.
The interior is simple and spacious, allowing the hum of friendly chatter and clinking bowls to underline a genuine sense of communal dining. Seating is open and flexible, encouraging a relaxed approach to lingering over your meal or grabbing a well-deserved break. The efficient service complements this atmosphere: attentive without fuss, letting the food and company take center stage.
At Red Bowl Noodles, the experience unfolds through each bowl and plate, where the richly layered noodle soups reveal a comforting depth—whether it’s the soft tenderness of beef tendon or the vibrant spices in a curry broth. Crispy textures mingle playfully with soft noodles and savory garnishes, and the menu offers a range of options that cater to those looking for familiar warmth or something a little more adventurous. The boba drinks provide a sweet, refreshing counterpoint, adding a playful note to the meal without overshadowing the heartier fare.
For many local diners, this is a place where flavors evoke familiarity and a sense of home, mirrored in the generous portions and the satisfying balance of boldness and subtlety in each dish. It’s a place to savor simple, honest food that doesn’t rush the moment — perfect for quiet afternoons or casual gatherings where the food quietly speaks for itself, inviting you to slow down and enjoy the shared experience of a good meal.

This place was TK Noodle before then it changed becomes Red Bowl. My favorite is combination noodle with separate soup, the beef stew with flat rice noodle, fried rice and taro cake. All of them is the best.

My mom and I ate here on a breezy and cloudy Sunday afternoon. It is open seating and you may opt for any vacant table for dine in. I ordered their #20, which is a Combo Wonton Noodle Soup. In addition to our individual soups, we also ordered a side of fried chicken wings and radish cakes. Our orders were brought to our table within 7-10 minutes. The soup was piping warm and I could sense and taste the umami from the soup. The egg noodles were not too mushy and were well paired with flavorful wontons, shrimp and meatballs. The fried chicken wings were truly crispy, tender and flavorful. The radish cakes were a bit mushy this time, but it was still flavorful in their egg batter. Red Bowl is the OG place for Chinese-Vietnamese style soup in Daly City. Eating soup here feels even better when it's foggy and frigid outside because of Karl the Fog.

Combination egg noodle soup is my favorite. Comes out fast & hot. Noodles are bouncy. I love all the meat, shrimp and garnishes that come on top. Portions are big and filling. The place is large and airy. Service is straightforward and efficient. Prices are cheap for nice big bowl of soup.

Love their soup, I’m from San Jose and this place reminds me of TK Noodle. They have a dish similar to TK #21 and also #3, number 3 is the soup posted. Yummy, yum yum! I had takeout from them yesterday Definitely recommend for take out or eating there because they have plenty of tables.

Haven't been to this place in several years but needed a good soup with veggies and it was closer to home... thought hey why not! maybe I'll like it. Hungover as I was let me tell you... The Wonton combination soup was mm good and they were not greedy with their meat. I asked for extra noodles but the man who I believe may be the owner was like you don't need extra noodles it's perfect but if you finish and want more I'll get you some more with a smile. I don't know about anybody else but I always notice when I ask for extra this or that it's like an aunt or uncle telling me "No you eat all that first and if you want more I'll get you more! Like I'm paying for it but I ain't mad at ya because the soup has plenty!!!! Their appetizers the fried chicken wings crispy and crunchy, Pot stickers and pork egg rolls were filled with meat n veggies yummm. The soup was a lot and me being a big girl I myself couldn't believe I couldn't finish it at one sit down. The server who brought our food out was soft spoken and very friendly always smiling which he deserves all the tips. As for the staff who were on the floor it took forever to get another soda and even napkins. Lastly I was shocked to find out they charge for the to-go box, plastic soup cups and bag which showed on our bill. I'm thinking next time I'll take my own Tupperware lol.

My partner and I are regulars here! My go-to is the combination rice noodle soup, and my partner gets the combination egg noodle soup. The portions are really generous and the noodles are always perfectly cooked. We also love the flour cake with egg. AND, their chili oil is superb. Super comforting food, great for a cold day or after a long day at work!

Red Bowl Noodle in Daly City is a good alternative to a mostly Filipino community/restaurant. They have decent food made fresh and best of all very affordable! My Chinese good friend and his mom loves to come here and that should say a lot! Good food, good service.
